During Term 1, we have been sharing our treasures for our PBL project. When it was my turn to share my special items, I found it pretty tricky to figure out what I should bring. I had a few ideas from other people that had shared before me, so I went home that night and looked through my drawers that were filled with a few of my favourite things. After a while of looking I found some sand, a necklace and a memorial item. These items are pretty small but they mean a lot to me. I went to school the next day and shared my items, first of all the sand. It was special to me because I go on holiday every year with my family and it is the only time I really get to bond with my family because we are usually very busy during the year.My next item was the necklace, this necklace is special to me because my best friend went to another school and she gave me the necklace so that I will remember her. Lastly it was the memorial item, this memorial item was special to me because my cousin was diagnosed with terminal cancer when she was 8 years old. This was sad news to my whole family, by the time my school had heard the news she was in Starship hospital getting treatment. So we had a day to fundraise for her and her family. We raised about $1000 for their family and with that they bought a caravan so they could travel the country. These items are really special to me because the people that they link up to are really special to me. When I shared these items to the class I was very nervous and I was shaking when I was sharing them.
